periodical-ly.
last week i published my 13th post (less these abstracts) and came to realize that i maybe, kinda would like to become a bit less weekly with this newsletter thing. i initially told myself i’d give it a solid 3 months and then decide how to move forward. well, the three months have come and gone, pretty swiftly, and i’ve built a small catalog of treasures.
i’m finding my energies divided more than i’d like, so will say that i’ll be in touch ~biweekly from here out and see how things meander. perhaps you’ll hear from me with a simple art update tucked in here and there as well. let’s see how this experiment continues to unfold.
but first…oddities are back.

this week i’m bringing back an art series that has a special place in my queer heart, oddities. this thursday i’ll be dropping oddity one. this is the first oddity mint in many moons and it is indeed the first oddity i created, the one that sparked the series. as with all my single edition oddities, this piece will be cc0.
on the 25th, i’ll kick off a 24hr auction with a 1 xtz reserve starting at 12pm pst. i hope to see you there, whether you’re bidding or just enjoying the a(u)ction.
what are oddities? a series of 3 frame gifs that serve as an exploration of my relationship with the rainbow. the symbol is something i long struggled to embrace as a 2nd generation gay (growing up in the bush era with two moms was, well, a ride). perhaps i’ll share more on the series in a future imprints post soon. 🖤 🌈 🤍
on with the abstract.
as is the emerging norm for abstract posts, this is a written only update and gives an overview of imprints posts from the last month. maybe you’ll find something you missed or just want to revisit. hit the bottom to see what i’ve been jamming to this week. hope this finds you well + thanks for being here!
push, pull.
it’s super common in today’s world to be bombarded with options. when you could do this, be that or live there, how the eff do you home in on what to choose? well, you listen to your gut. and, in order to hear it, you go a step beyond periodically drowning out the noise and choose to fully amplify the silence.
to sketch.
a large part of my art process includes sketching. i often mean this as physical sketching, with graphite on paper, though at times i’ll go straight into a program like procreate and get right into making a piece digitally. i find this digital first approach is rarer for me; the analog-time-off-a-device plays a large part in the creation of an artwork a…
stop waiting for inspiration.
when it comes to inspiration, i feel like we spend a lot of time waiting for lightning to strike. for conditions to be just right. for everything to be in its place (including the planets all in a line). when, in reality, inspiration comes in fits and spurts. most often once you’ve already done the hard part and showed up despite not having a grand insp…
i happened upon this collab of beach bunny x tegan + sara last week. it’s a jam.
